The terms,
in language you can read.
What you are buying, what it is not, and where you stand if something goes wrong.

Before launch: fill in the company details, confirm the laboratory partner's name, and have a healthcare regulatory solicitor check clause 2 (what this service is not) and clause 8 (liability) against the white-label supplier contract. This page is a working draft, not legal advice.
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms are between you and Sero ([registered company name], company number [number], registered at [address]). By placing an order you accept them.
2. What this service is, and what it is not
Sero sells wellness screening blood panels. Your sample is analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory and your results are reviewed by a GMC-registered doctor before you see them.
This is not a diagnosis and it is not a substitute for medical care. We do not diagnose conditions, we do not prescribe treatment, and we do not replace your GP. A result inside the reference range does not mean nothing is wrong, and a result outside it does not mean something is. If you have symptoms that concern you, contact your GP or call 111. In an emergency, call 999.
3. Who can order
You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. We do not test children, and we cannot ship kits outside the UK.
4. Health information you give us
The reviewing doctor relies on the health questions you answer at checkout. Please answer them accurately, an incomplete answer can make a result impossible to interpret, or cause it to be interpreted wrongly.
5. Taking and returning your sample
Follow the instructions in the kit. Samples degrade, so post yours the same day you take it. If a sample cannot be analysed, it happens with roughly one in twenty-five finger-prick samples, we will send you a replacement kit free of charge.
6. Turnaround
We aim to return results within four to five working days of the laboratory receiving your sample. That is a target, not a guarantee; laboratory backlogs and postal delays happen and are outside our control.
7. Price, payment and cancellation
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe.
You may cancel for a full refund at any time before you use the kit, return it unopened and unused and we will refund you in full. Once a sample has been taken and posted, the service has been performed and we cannot refund it.
The twice-yearly plan bills monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund payments already taken, and you keep every result you have already received.
8. Our liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for a decision you take about your own health without medical advice, nor for loss caused by inaccurate information given to us at checkout.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
9. Your data
How we handle your personal and health data is set out in full on our privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
10. Conflicts of interest
Sero Health is a standalone company. Your results are written by clinicians and are never linked to a product; where a supplement is genuinely indicated we name the compound, not a brand.
11. Complaints and governing law
Email hello@serohealth.co.uk and we will respond within five working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
